Chichen itza which means in the mayan language “Mouth of the well of the Itzaes”, is located on the eastern part of the state of Yucatan. This important ceremonial center mixes greatness and nature its gold period was from 1000 to 1250 of our time.

The castle of kukulkan is an amazing construction that is 30 meters high and where the exact cosmic knowledge of the mayans is tested. It is here where every year during the equinox, you can see the “descend of Kukulkan the feathered snake”.

One of the most outstanding attractions of Chichen itza is the Sacred Cenote that has a circumference of around 62 meters and its almost vertical walls have a height of around 22 meters depth  where it is believed the mayans threw young women as offerings to the God of the water carefully dressed and brightly decorated. Chichen itza is the archaeological site by excellence to visit because of its extraordinary architectural beauty and its cultural importance. Other buildings that are found at the same archaeological site  are: the observatory , temple of the warriors , the ball court, platform of Venus , platform of the eagles and platform of the jaguars, also the temple of the boards, all of them belong to the late classic age and the beginning of the of the post –classic age.

Valladolid

Valladolid This historical city that keeps as few other places do its delicious colonial taste , offers to its visitors a lot of its enchantment. The Saint Gervasio’s Chatedral , the Saint Bernardino’s Convent and sober Saint John’s Temple , are three of the magnificent examples of the fusion between the European architecture and the Mayan spirit.

Cenote ( Underground River )

The word cenote is derived from the mayan term “D’ zonot” , representing an underground cavity filled permanently with water.
